Monday, July 20, 2020 at 13.30, ISTTS held a KSP seminar entitled "How to Make" Your Own Game "in 2 Hours" by Mr. Hendrawan Armanto S. Kom., M. Kom. He is a lecturer in S1 in Informatics Engineering ISTTS. This seminar was opened for internal and external participants via the zoom platform and YouTube live streaming. Mr. Hendrawan opened KSP with self-introduction and also explained the experiences he had while being a Game Developer then continued with explaining material on how to make games with Unreal Engine.
In the game industry, developers definitely need an "engine". Engine in making a game can be interpreted as the brain of our game that thinks about the direction and story of a game ranging from characters, maps, and various kinds of details that exist in the game. There are many types of game engines used by developers ranging from free to paid. But specifically for large established game developers they usually create their own engine. There is one game engine that is quite well known, free and of good quality, Unreal Engine.
Unreal Engine itself is usually often used by novice game developers because it is easy to get. Besides that, Unreal Engine also supports OpenGL and Direct3D features. Than just an ordinary engine, Unreal Engine has now turned into a cash machine and become one of the best examples of game makers ever created.
Mr. Hendrawan also shared his experience of being a Game Developer since 2009 until now. He also shared how to make games easily and fun. Not to forget, he also gave any specifications if you want to run Unreal Engine. Requirements that must be met include Desktop PC or Mac, 8GB RAM, Windows 7 64-bit, Quad-core Intel or AMD processor, 2.5 GHz.
At the end of the event, the seminar ended with a question and answer session between KSP participants and resource persons. Then proceed with a group photo and fill in the questionnaire along with attendance for participants who have participated in KSP.
