Should we learn about making applications?
In our daily activities, a smartphone is one of the things that we carry with us anywhere and everywhere. Smartphones can be assistants that make our lives easier, by using the available applications. In this case, we don't need to be an expert, but we need to at least know the basics in making an application.
In making an application, one of the basic skills needed is programming. Pak Evan said that to be able to make a Mobile App, you don't need to study at the university level. There are many websites for creating Mobile App. One of them is Kodular. Mr. Evan chose to use Kodular because it looks attractive and its use is quite easy. This website can be accessed through the playstore under the codular companion name and the website can be accessed through www.kodular.io. Applications that can be made in the form of an android application.
During the seminar, Mr. Evan explained directly how to make his own application through Kodular. He explained step by step starting from how to make buttons in the application, giving names, adjusting the appearance of the application to be created to how to make the program in the application the way we want. Then participants can also directly test the application that is being made using the emulator.
Mr. Evan said that actually making a program is not difficult. The main asset to be able to do programming is to be able to speak English. Therefore it is important for us to master English. At the end of his explanation, Mr. Evan demonstrated his application. This application can find out the number of calories needed by the body.
The seminar then ended with a question and answer session and sharing between participants and resource persons regarding the Kodular website and then ended with taking a group photo and also filling out questionnaires and attendance for participants who had attended the seminar.
