HIMA Informatics Study Program at ISTTS again held an online webinar on Saturday, September 12, 2020. The speaker of this webinar was Natanael Simogiarto, S.Kom. He is an alumnus of S-1 Informatics ISTTS (2016 - 2020) who has been a permanent practicum assistant and computer science laboratory assistant at ISTTS during college. “My final project is entitled Ensemble of Multi-Modal Deep Learning Autoencoder for Infant Cray and Pain Detection. I learned this by myself. That's why maybe this is the reason why I was entrusted with being a speaker in the webinar with the theme Discover The Hidden Image of A Digital Signal. " , said Ms. Natanael who managed to ward off the participants' thoughts that underestimated the young speaker.
This webinar was opened by the organizing committee by reading out the rules that must be obeyed by all participants. Then, the material began to be opened by Ms. Natanael with the same perception of image. Image is not just an image because this word is only a translation from English to Indonesian. The image to be discussed is a digital image which consists of a 2 or 3 dimensional array.
Kak Natanael also mentioned the types of waves, namely brain waves, light and sound. In addition, he also explained the meaning of frequency and amplitude related to digital waveforms. This form is divided into 2, namely low sample rate and high sample rate. After that, he also explained about frequency indexing. The technique for finding the frequency of this wave can be solved with the discrete time fourier transform (DTFT) formula. DTFT is often used to analyze samples of continuous functions. The term discrete-time refers to the fact that transformations operate on discrete data, often samples whose intervals have units of time. There are other formulas such as fast fourier transform (FFT) and short time fourier transform (STFT).
